The Need To Clean
Natural use of a whirlpool or Spa bath will cause the system to become polluted over time, this can be due to the build up of soaps, bath additives, grease & body oils etc that can build up inside the pipework & fittings. Pure-spa ‘Whirlpool cleaning fluid’ helps to clean the whirlpool system in a hygienic manner, & is specially formulated to help remove the build up of these pollutants from the system. In between cleaning applications the regular use of Pure-Spa ‘Sanitisng tablets’ will help to treat your system effectively to minimise the growth of bacteria, thereby leaving your system fresher & more hygeinic after each use.Used correctly & regularly Pure-Spa products will ensure your whirlpool bath remains cleaner & fresher!

User Guide
Pure-Spa Whirlpool Cleaner & Degreaser – Directions for use:
1. Fill the bath with warm water (approx 35oC) making sure the jets are just covered.
2. Add the correct amount of product to the water
Dilution with water – use the following as a guide.
For  regular cleaning at least every  3 – 4 weeks or more often, depending on usage.
Dilute with water up to 600:1 approx 1/4 bottle (250mls) per average bath (150 Litres of water)

If the whirlpool hasn’t been cleaned in some time the product can be diluted  with up to 80:1 with water.
As a guide this is normally between 1/2 a bottle (500mls) and a full bottle (1L) per application

3. Close Air control (make sure the whirlpool is on its lowest setting)  & run system for 4 – 5 mins
4. Turn off & let stand for approx 2-3 hrs, or overnight if necessary. Run system occasionally to agitate.
5. Drain the bath, refill with cold water to flush through,  run  system for 2 minutes, drain the  bath & wipe  interior surface.

IMPORTANT - Whirlpools should  be cleaned & sanitised  regularly to help remove the build up of bath deposits & dirt, & to help minimise the growth of bacteria – even if the system isn’t used very often! This product contains both cleaning and sanitising agents but for best results we recommend using  Pure-Spa Sanitising tablets in  between cleaning applications.

Contains no harsh solvents or alkalis or acids. Has an antimicrobial value of 120 when tested to BS 647.  Fully Biodegradable. Presents no effluent problems. Septic tank friendly

Directions for use (avg size bath)
1. After each use of the bath & before emptying, put 1 tablet into the bath water.
2. Switch on the system & let it run for 2-3 minutes
3. Switch off the system & drain as normal
4. Your Whirlpool bath has now been been effectively treated.
Only use in accordance with directions on label.   Content  97.5g e
Note: Avoid prolonged contact  with metals

Technical info – Pure-Spa Sanitising Tablets
These small, white tablets are based on dry chlorine donor, sodium dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC) which is blended with effervescent components before being compressed into tablet form.  The result is a fast-dissolving, highly convenient, safer and more accurate alternative to liquid bleach.

Chlorine is regarded by many, including the Health Service and the Government, as the most effective disinfectant in the fight against disease.  That is why it is recommended by the world’s major authorities for use against HIV (AIDS) and Hepatitis B viruses and why almost all of the world’s piped water supplies are treated with chlorine.

Disinfecting solutions prepared from The Pure-Spa Sanitising Tablets containing NaDCC are fast acting and have a complete spectrum of biocidal activity.  Bacteria, bacterial spores, algae, fungi, protozoa and viruses are all sensitive to their effects.

The problem of corrosion associated with liquid bleach has often resulted in the use of more expensive and less effective alternatives.  It has been demonstrated that chlorine solutions produced using NaDCC tablets are in general significantly less corrosive

Care & Maintenance Tips for your whirlpool Bath

1: Prevention Is better than Cure: Start your whirlpool Cleaning regime as soon as possible. If you prevent a build up of bath deposits from forming inside the pipe work of your whirlpool you will enjoy trouble free bathing for longer. Don’t wait until you have a problem before using cleaning products.

2: Unscrew the whirlpool jet cover to clean : Most Whirlpool Jet covers are designed to come apart for cleaning purposes. Check with the manufacturer of your whirlpool bath to see if your jet covers are designed to be un screwed so you can clean in an around the eyeball.

3:Do not use abrasive bathroom cleaners – especially on chrome or gold fittings: Abrasive or harsh products may damage the chrome or gold finish on your whirlpool fittings

4: Keep bleach away from Chrome & Gold fittings: Harsh products such as bleach may damage the chrome or gold finish on your whirlpool fittings

5.Keep the air valve shut when cleaning your whirlpool so that the product doesn’t foam uncontrollably

6: Sanitise regularly: Using the sanitisng tablets regularly will help to minimise the growth of bacteria & keep your system fresh & hygienic for the next bather

7:Don’t use bath oils, or products likely to cause a build up within the pipework: Products that are oily, sticky like bath oils, hair conditioners etc can all contribute to a build up within the pipes and be difficult to remove.
