Lifeandhome works by taking Orders and payments directly from Customers and passing on the orders to suppliers for them to fulfill by post. Customers will be able to browse and buy a wide range of products from various different suppliers using a single on-line shopping basket.
When orders are received via the Lifeandhome website, we will then send the order to you, the supplier by email, and the details will show up in your supplier admin area so that you can fulfill the order and send the goods directly to the customer.
We will wait for you to confirm dispatch before we charge the customers card.
Commission is charged on successful orders only. It is a win-win strategy.

  • We help you ‘set up’ your account and product listings on our site.
  • We collect confirmed orders and pass them to you to fulfil by mail order
  • We collect payments, then pay you less our agreed commission & transaction fee

Requirements
To become a seller on of lifeandhome.co.uk, you must consider yourself to be a specialist business with expertise in a particular field and you must be willing to ship items directly to the end user.
We also look for the following in a potential seller:

  • You must be prepared to deliver your goods by mail order promptly and to maintain a continual high standard of service to your online customers.(as laid out in our Terms & Conditions)
  • Good images, preferably on a white background. It sounds obvious, but online shoppers cannot see or touch your products, so clear, quality images of each product are vital.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to work as a team with lifeandhome.co.uk
  • We encourage our sellers to keep their products  up-to-date with correct information, and to respond to PR and shopper requests efficiently.
  • Sellers should always be aware of the importance of competitive pricing and low delivery costs.
    As customers shop from more than one seller at a time, it is vital that delivery costs are as low as possible – ideally free of charge. This will prevent delivery costs from accumulating

When my items are sold via Life and home  who is the legal transaction between?
When an order is placed at Lifeandhome, the Customer is purchasing items from you – the Seller. You will receive an order notification email. Life and home is the intermediary that facilitates the transaction between Buyer and Seller. We process each customer’s payment in our secure online checkout. Your earnings are then transferred to your specified Bank account once every month

Who do I invoice when I receive an order?
When you confirm an order via the Life and Home back office area, the order status should change to PAID, once this happens you know that your Customer has paid in full, the money is then held temporarily  by us.
You should still create an invoice from you to your Customer. You may wish to enclose the invoice with the goods that you ship as this will provide the customer with a necessary official invoice for their records,  should they want to claim back any tax.  Howevermost sellers choose not to include the invoice as the Life and home system automatically generates an order confirmation/delivery note for inclusion with the goods which is sufficient for most customers.

How do I create a Lable for my package?
The Life and home back office area allows you Create a Delivery Note for each order. This will contain  all the relevant customer details that you need including the items they have selected and their address..
You should print this off and fold it to that it fits securely in a self adhesive document wallet on the front of your package.

How are Life and Homes Fees collected?
Each month, Life and home will email you a report with a Sales Receipt/ Invoice outlining all of your sales that month and any fees due on those sales. Your earnings for the month are automatically transferred to your bank account minus any fees that are owed to Life and Home . No action is needed on your behalf

Can I specify my own delivery charges?

Yes, however we encourage all of our sellers to offer FREE delivery for their products.
If this is not possible we ask that Sellers keep delivery rates to a minimum to avoid charges accumulatng when shoppers buy from more than one seller.
You can choose from two UK zones as follows:
UK Mainland: Eng, Wales, Scotland Mainland (inc IOW) Standard items and deliveries
UK Offshore: inc NI, IOM, Scilly Isles & Scottish Higlands. Standard items and deliveries:
You can also add a surcharge to individual products if necessary.
Heavy, Fragile, Valuable, Perishable or Bulky items: (Delivery Surcharge)
Each Seller stipulates their own costs, depending on the item.
Any surcharge will be clearly noted in the item description & is in addition to any standard delivery charges.

How do Returns and Refunds work?
The customer will contact you  by email to discuss their return or request an exchange. Your contact details will be provided on their order confirmation.  When you join Life and home you will provide a returns address that we will give out to customers if asked.  You must contact Life and Home as soon as you have received a returned item, and confirm its condition. Any refunds to the Customer are organised by Life and home.
If you have already been paid for the sale, we will charge the cost of the refund to you by either deducting  it from your next payment or invoice you directly.
If a customer cancels an order before they have received it, we may confirm with you whether or not the item has been shipped yet. If it has not, we will ask you to refrain from Shipping the item and the item will be marked as “Cancelled” in Your Account.

We charge a 5% refund fee on any amoutn refunded to the customer any commission fee paid in respect of the refunded product  will be returned.
