This is an easy to use product for the removal of ink & lipstick from Protected (P) Leathers.
It works best when used with our system of Leather Protection Cream on the Leather first.

It is designed for removal of recent (3-5 days) ink on Leather.

It will not remove Pencil Marks or Permanent Markers from Leather.

 * If used on ANILINE (A) Leather, this product may cause a dark spot. The spot will dissipate in 1-2 days. On Aniline the ballpoint mark may fade somewhat or be removed completely.

*please note the image is illustrative only as packaging may be slightly different

Instructions for use: 1. Remove the screw cap and push up about 4mm out of the tube, unscrewing it. 2. Pre-test on a concealed area of your item. 3. Pass the ink stick repeatedly over the area to be cleaned, pressing gently. 4. Let the product work on the stain for about 30 seconds. 5. Wipe off Ink Away with a soft dry cloth. 6. Clean with Leather Soft Cleaner with a soft dry cloth. 7. Apply Leather Protection Cream, rubbing the leather gently with circular movements, then let it dry.

More Info

Type A - Aniline Leather Also called Natural, Pure, Naked or Unprotected
- very delicate leather, it will absorb stains very easily so should always be protected.
These leathers are coloured with transparent dye stuff.  This means that you are able to see the actual surface grain and markings.

Type P - Pigmented Leather  -Also called Finished, semi-aniline, everyday, pigmented or painted.
The leather may be buffed (corrected) to reduce heavy natural scarring and blemishes in the hides. It is then coloured with a coating opaque pigments and embossed with grain pattern. Pigmented Leather displays good light fastness, good resistance to stains and is therefore the easiest to maintain.
These leathers have combined the best aspects of a natural product (leather) and have utilized tannery technology to create a product that is more uniform in appearance and colour (due to the application of pigments to the surface).  It then has a finish applied to the surface that makes the leather more resistant to the effects of heavy use.

Note: Pencils create marks by physical abrasion, leaving behind a trail of solid core material that adheres to a sheet of paper or other surface. They are distinct from pens, which instead disperse a trail of liquid or gel ink that stains the light colour of the paper. Most pencil cores are made of graphite which is most easily removed using an eraser in the first instance. On pigmented leather products the use of Leather Master Soft Leather Cleaner (liquid or wipes) or Leather Master Leather Mousse would be most effective to gently remove (or lighten) the stain but it is possible for pencil marks to leave a faint permanent mark on certain surfaces (especially porous ones like skins).
White and light coloured leathers are especially susceptible to staining and, of course, this shows up far more than on a darker coloured leather.
